U.S. dollar up on Taipei FOREX

Taipei, Oct. 9 (CNA) The U.S. dollar gained against the New Taiwan dollar on the Taipei Foreign Exchange Friday, increasing NT$0.097 to close at NT$32.240.

A total of US$948 million changed hands during the day’s trading.

The U.S. currency opened at NT$32.165 and fluctuated between NT$32.100 and NT$32.249. (By Nick Huang)
