Taiwan shares open higher

Taipei, Oct. 9 (CNA) The Taiwan Stock Exchange’s main index opened higher Friday, moving up 69.48 points at 7,572.79 on a turnover of NT$3.66 billion (US$113.87 million).

The weighted price index lost 105.35 points, or 1.38 percent, to close at 7,503.31 Thursday. (By Y.F. Low)
